Why Have Counselling ? (Based on my experience of Counselling in Kettering, Northants. UK)
The majority of us would benefit by being helped with difficult events in their lives. e.g:
- Are you suffering from stress in the high pressure world of today ?
- Could you use some help in trying to cope with an emotional crisis ?
- Do you feel a sense of abandonment or loss ?
- Are you angry or violent to yourself or others ? Is it a struggle to control this anger ?
- Does anxiety and fear haunt you in your normal life, and hinder your aspirations and ambitions ?
- Is there a problem in your life that is just too complicated to solve by yourself ?
- Are you struggling to establish good communication in a relationship ?
- Do you feel that you are in a downward cycle of depression that you are unable to break free of ?
- Do you want to find alternative ways of handling your behaviour, thoughts and emotions ?
- Would it help if someone just listened to you, empathised with you, and tried to understand things from your point of view ?
Many of us could answer “Yes” to at least some of the above. There might even be other issues suggested by the examples above that could be discussed and resolved. Counselling can help to provide an objective, independant, non-judgemental environment where important personal matters can be discussed in confidence and in comfort.
Many qualified counsellors will offer the first consultation for free to help you assess whether counselling could be the way forward for you, with no expense or commitment on your part.
Give counselling a chance to help you with your issue(s). Find an experienced, qualified counsellor you feel you can trust, and arrange that initial consultation with them today.
